AhlulBayt News Agency: British Airways has extended the suspension of flights to and from the Israeli-occupied territories until July 31, following a Yemeni missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport.
Previously, the airline had halted flights until mid-June, but the latest developments prompted an extension of the restriction.
According to IRNA, most foreign airlines ceased operations to Israel after the Yemeni Armed Forces launched a ballistic missile attack on May 4. Israeli defense systems failed to intercept the missile, which struck near an access road, just a few hundred yards from the control tower at Ben Gurion Airport’s main terminal in Tel Aviv.
Since November 2023, Yemeni forces have carried out hundreds of missile strikes targeting Israeli positions in the occupied territories, as well as Israeli-linked maritime traffic in the Red Sea. These attacks intensified a month after Israel began its war on Gaza.
